Study assesses FLNG project options off India

WorleyParsons has been awarded a significant pre-FEED study by the Andhra Pradesh Floating LNG Terminal developers, GDF SUEZ and Andhra Pradesh Gas Distribution Corporation (APGDC). The pre-FEED study will assess floating terminal options including various marine jetty configurations with floating storage and regasification units (FSRU’s). The scope of services will also extend to the subsea pipeline and the onshore receiving facility design. The work will be done primarily out of WorleyParsons’ Singapore location with design being carried out in the Melbourne and India locations.

The award of the project was the result of collaboration between three of WorleyParsons’ locations—drawing on various strengths of the company’s Singapore’s LNG regasification experience, INTECSEA’s floating systems capability in Melbourne, and India’s local customer and project support of the onshore facilities design. This will be the seventh FSRU/nearshore re-gasification terminal project executed between Singapore and Melbourne, making the WorleyParsons Group an industry leader in Asia for such developments.
