Uptime International Bags Contracts for Gangway Supply

Norway’s Uptime International has entered into two new contracts with compatriot vessel provider Island Offshore.

"Island Clipper has secured a three-year agreement with Equinor as combined PSV and walk to work vessel. The vessel will be equipped with battery package, shore connection and gangway which can be mobilized on short notice," said a press release.

Commencement of the contract is 1st of April 2019, and it includes options for up two additional years.

Island Clipper is arranged to operate as an accommodation vessel during maintenance work at Equinor’s installations, and can accommodate 60 persons.

First delivery contains of a rental agreement of an Uptime 23.4m active motion compensated gangway for a 7month period. Second delivery contains purchase of an Uptime 30m active motion compensated gangway with autonomous landing. This gangway is contracted to be a 2020 delivery.

Island Offshore have been awarded a three-year contract with Equinor and will use contracted Uptime gangways on the vessel Island Clipper for this charter.

We have delivered 25 units of our 23,4m amc gangway making it very proven and this will be our 2ndcontracted 30m gangway that many describe as a next generation gangway due to technical solutions as patented autonomous landing system, operator in the wheelhouse and more. This contract states that our range of gangways are very compatible for both the wind industry and Oil and Gas where these gangways are going to be used in” says Sales & Marketing Manager Svein Ove Haugen.
