Shelf Drilling Bags Contract Extension for Trident XIV Jack-up Rig

International jackup drilling contractor Shelf Drilling announced that it has secured a one-year extension on the Trident XIV jack-up rig in direct continuation of its current contract for workover operations offshore Nigeria.

The  international shallow water offshore drilling contractor with rig operations across Middle East, Southeast Asia, India, West Africa and the Mediterranean said in a press release that the expected availability of the rig is now February 2020. Furthermore, an option to extend the contract by a year exists.

David Mullen, Chief Executive Officer, Shelf Drilling, said: “We are very pleased to have the opportunity to extend the Trident XIV contract in Nigeria. We see this contract extension as a further strengthening of our relationship with a highly valued customer in a very important market.”
