Malaysia’s Petronas Carigali awarded Kongsberg Oil & Gas Technologies AS a US$2.2 million contract for drilling operations software and services.

The software, SiteCom, is a real-time drilling operations software. The four-year contract has a one-year extension option.

“With the SiteCom installation, Petronas will be able to monitor their key performance indicators and make use of their previous drilling experience to plan new wells,” says Ben Lovell, Kongsberg VP sales and marketing. “This will enable them to start realizing significant value from the real-time data that they are collecting.”
