Seadrill and North Atlantic Drilling Ltd. (NADL) have agreed to further extend a framework deal with Rosneft for the use of rigs until 31 May 2019.

The companies first agreed on the deal on 22 August 2014.

In November 2014 the long stop date for closing this transaction was extended to the end of May 2015 and subsequently extended further to the end of May 2017.

“During this time, Seadrill and NADL can continue to market the offshore drilling rigs and enter into binding contracts with third parties,” says Seadrill.
