Deepsea Metro I seals Southeast Asia deal

Odfjell Drilling, on behalf of Golden Close Maritime Corp., inked a two-well contract for the ultra deepwater drillship, Deepsea Metro I with an undisclosed party in Southeast Asia. 

The deal will see the Deepsea Metro I drill two firm wells with options for one further well and three sidetracks. 

The firm contract period is for about 150 days, and is set to start in June 2017.

The unit is owned by Golden Close Maritime and managed by Odfjell Drilling.
