Senje Berge FPSO contract termination

Oslo-listed floating production vessel operator BW Offshore has received a termination notice for the floating production, storage and offloading (FPSO) vessel Sendje Berge, which is operating under a contract with Addax Petroleum on the Okwori field offshore Nigeria.

The termination will have effect from 6 November 2017. Addax has requested BW Offshore to provide a demobilization plan for the vessel.

The termination comes after BW Offshore won an arbitration award for its outstanding claims against Addax, amounting to US$61.8 million.

The claim relate to the payment of all outstanding day rates relating to the the hire of the FPSO Sendje Berge.
