Ampelmann, the global leader in motion compensated access solutions, has been awarded its first contract in Brazil.

Under the contract, Ampelmann will provide its E-Type system to Boskalis in support of an extended floating production, storage and offloading (FPSO) vessel maintenance campaign. The Ampelmann system is the only solution that enables fully motion compensated ship to ship personnel transfers.

Ampelmann’s track record on FPSO Walk to Work campaigns is unmatched with recent projects delivered successfully in the North-Sea, Australia, Gulf of Mexico and Africa. Several customers use Ampelmann’s walk-to-work solution for their yearly FPSO maintenance campaigns.

The Ampelmann E-type is capable of compensating sea states in excess of 4m significant wave height. This ensures safe, efficient and reliable transfers of offshore personnel to fixed and floating facilities.

Jairo Prezzi, Business Development manager for Brazil: “We look forward to providing our services in Brazil; ensuring safe FPSO access and making our client's operations more cost efficient."
