Marathon Oil has awarded Ingen Ideas, an Amec Foster Wheeler company, a contract worth approximately £8million. The five-year multi-discipline engineering contract covers Marathon Oil’s Brae Complex in the North Sea.

The contract started in October 2015 and will run for five years, with the potential for two further five-year extensions. It covers subsea and topsides, including onshore operations support, projects and modifications engineering, as well as technical consultancy.

Ingen will call upon engineering services from across the Amec Foster Wheeler group. Ingen General Manager, Wayne Strachan said: “This is the first contract award of this scale for Ingen. It signifies how in the current economic climate, Ingen’s approach to consultancy engineering, with the global support of Amec Foster Wheeler, can add value by being agile, responsive and proportionate to the exact requirements of the project.”
