MCG buys Polaris seismic database

MultiClient Geophysical (MCG) has entered into an agreement with Polaris E&E Services to acquire their Post Stack Reprocessed Atlantic Margin seismic 2D data.

MCG will pay Polaris for this transaction through revenue share of futures sales. 

The Atlantic Margin data consists of 166,000km of reprocessed "open file" vintage 2D seismic data, covering the whole East Coast margin of US, from Canada to South of Florida. 

"We are pleased to announce that we can add this seismic 2D data base to our existing library. The data will also enable MCG to be in a better position to identify new areas for potential future seismic projects along the East Coast of US," stated Tom Wolden, CEO, MCG.
