Wood Group Mustang promotes executives

Wood Group Mustang announced executive promotions and executive leadership team responsibilities.

The leadership team comprises Edmund-Hugo Lunde, executive vice president; Brent Owen, senior vice president, project delivery functions; Mike Dear, chief financial officer; Patricia Liles, vice president, human resources; and Michele McNichol, CEO.

McNicholleads the executive leadership team and has included health, safety, security and environment (HSSE) among her own responsibilities to elevate the role of HSSE throughout the organization and to ensure immediate attention and direct involvement from the CEO level on HSSE matters.

Lundehas been promoted to the position of executive vice president. His responsibilities include the offshore, onshore, oil sands, pipeline, process plants, industrial, and automation and control markets; and regional operations for the UK, Norway and Canada.

Edmund has served as senior vice president, global business development, marketing, strategy and acquisitions since 2012, with responsibility for developing and leading the company’s growth strategy, including serving as a key advisor in the establishment of Wood Group Mustang Norway, which resulted from the acquisition of Agility Projects. Previously Edmund was president of Alliance Wood Group Engineering and managed the formation of Wood Group Mustang through the merger of Alliance and Mustang Engineering. He is a graduate of the Advanced Management Program at INSEAD.

Owenhas been promoted to the position of senior vice president, project delivery functions and is the new appointee to the executive leadership team. His responsibilities include oversight of engineering, project delivery services, construction management operations and quality. Owen joined Wood Group Mustang in 2000 supporting projects in technical positions and project roles. He has served as manager of the instrumentation department, business manager for the pipeline business unit, and, most recently, as vice president and general manager of the process plants & industrial business unit’s operations in Greenville, South Carolina. Owen earned a bachelor of science in chemical engineering from Texas A&M University and a master of business administration from the University of Texas.

Dearserved as chief financial officer and a member of the executive leadership team since his relocation to Houston in 2009, having previously served as group financial controller of Wood Group, based in Aberdeen, Scotland. In addition to the finance and commercial functions, he is responsible for the contracts and legal, facilities management, real estate, and IT&S functions. He will also provide leadership and oversight to operations in Latin America, Malaysia and Saudi Arabia. Mike is a chartered management accountant (ACMA/CGMA) and a graduate of the advanced management program (AMP) at Harvard Business School.

Lilesis continuing her roles as head of human resources and member of the executive leadership team, which she has held since joining Wood Group Mustang in 2012.

The appointments and responsibilities are effective immediately.
