Maersk spuds Tvillingen South probe

Exploration drilling has started on the Tvillingen South prospect in production license 510 in the Norwegian Sea.

The prospect is located on the Haltenbanken in the Norwegian Sea, approximately 28 km southeast of the Kristin field. The well, 6406/6-4, will be drilled using the Leiv Eiriksson semisubmersible drilling rig.

Partners in the license are Maersk Oil Norway AS (operator with 50% interest), Edison International Norway Branch (30%) and North Energy (20%).
