In this video Dong Energy gives an idea of how the Hejre oil and gas platform project is being carried out in the Danish part of the North Sea.
Hejre is Dong Energy’s first high-pressure, high-temperature (HPHT) development and is expected to begin production in 2017 with an estimated 170 million boe.
The Hejre field includes new pipelines and an expansion of the oil terminal in Fredericia.
The first Hejre production well was spudded on 11 July using the Maersk Resolve jackup rig on the HA-1 well. On 15 August, the well reached a depth of approximately 2220m. The planned total depth is 5861m to target the in the Gert Member sandstones of the early Late Jurassic Heno formation.
The HA-1 well is the first of five production wells planned for the Hejre field. The rig will be operating for almost three years to finish all five wells.
In May, the 8400-tonne jacket arrived at in the Danish sector of the North Sea in 68m water depth. The last steel pile for fastening the legs of the support structure were rammed into the subsoil on 30 May.
Construction of the production platform was performed in 2012 and installation will take done in two periods: this year and in 2015. New oil and gas pipes will be connected to existing pipes, so that the gas and the oil can be transported to the Nybro gas facility and the Oil Terminal in Fredericia.
