Oil & Gas UK announces vice co-chairman

Adrian Rose is Oil & Gas UK’s new contractor vice chairman.

Rose, currently Transocean Ltd. vice president – Europe,will represent the contractor community. He joins Glen Cayley, upstream director, Shell UK Ltd., who was appointed as vice chairman representing the operator community earlier this summer. 



“The next stage for our industry will be challenging; and our board of directors has a vital role to play in enabling the industry to maximize economic recovery of our indigenous,” says Malcolm Webb, Oil & Gas UK’s chief executive.

Prior to his present role at Transocean, Rose served as managing director of Transocean's North Sea division from October 2011 until December 2012. Rose joined Transocean in 1983, serving in a number of offshore and onshore management positions.

In addition to his role at Oil & Gas UK, Rose also remains a director of the International Association of Drilling Contractors, a member of the UK Step Change in Safety Leadership team and a member of the Honorable Company of Master Mariners.
