Swire Oilfield Services announces Southeast Asia expansion

Swire Oilfield Services, a global supplier of cargo carrying solutions, modular systems, offshore aviation services and fluid management has announced plans to further invest in Southeast Asia with the development of three new operational yards and the arrival of new rental equipment to its fleet.

To better meet increasing customer demand in the region, the company has invested more than US$10 million by expanding its cargo carrying unit rental fleet and further developing operating bases in Myanmar, Malaysia and Thailand. Development is due to be completed on all new bases by the end of Q1 2014 and is predicted to bring additional employment opportunities in local areas as the supporting operational infrastructure continues to expand in Southeast Asia.

Troy Brice, Director and Regional General Manager Asia Pacific, commented “The announcement follows a successful 2013 for the team in Southeast Asia which resulted in multiple long-term contract wins with multinational customers, increase in workforce and our service capability leading to recognition across the industry of our high quality offering to the market. This played a key part in contributing to achieving the company’s overall global growth plans.
