EMGS, ANCAP partnership

Electromagnetic Geoservices (EMGS) entered into a partnership agreement with Uruguay's regulating authority for oil and gas exploration, La Administración Nacional de Combustibles, Alcohol y Portland (ANCAP).

ANCAP intends to use the data in its exploratory work program commitment for Uruguay's 2015 licensing bid round.

EMGS said that, in ANCAP's previous public licensing round, a major international oil and gas company won the right to explore more than 13,000sq km by committing to acquire seismic and 3D EM over the area.
