Baker Hughes: 17 Apr Rig Count

Baker Hughes has announced its weekly rig count for the US and Canada.

US:

The US Rig Count is unchanged from last week at 1831, with oil rigs down 7 to 1510, gas rigs up 6 to 316, and miscellaneous rigs up 1 to 5.

US Rig Count increased by 73 rigs from last year to 1758, with oil rigs up 139, gas rigs down 63, and miscellaneous rigs down 3.

The US Offshore rig count is 52, down 1 rig from last week, and up 3 rigs year over year.

Canada:

The Canadian Rig Count is down 13 rigs from last week to 199, with oil rigs down 8 to 85, and gas rigs down 5 to 114.

However, the Canadian Rig Count is up 73 rigs from last year at 126, with oil rigs up 20, and gas rigs up 53.
