National Hyperbaric Centre opened a new facility in Singapore. The new center will meet increasing demand for training and consultancy services in the area.

NHC also announced the launch of a new ROV System Auditing & Assurance course, which will be kick-starting of their presence in Asia Pacific.

The course is an industry first and hopes to provide technical and operational ROV personnel with the knowledge and competence to become fully aware of auditing processes, enabling them within their role in the industry.

The auditing & assurance of diving systems has been integral to the offshore industry for many years, and NHC has driven diving system auditor competence through its specialised courses ran by industry experts. Previously there have been no equivalent ROV-specific courses, but as this specialised industry is expanding rapidly, companies and offshore operators are now seeing the benefits of such audits and with this comes the requirement for trained and qualified personnel.

The three-day course combines practical and theoretical elements enabling delegates to become conversant with IMCA guidelines and industry requirements surrounding auditing techniques, procedures and technical reporting of contractor’s equipment.

“We put this course together alongside professionals who have extensive experience of carrying out ROV assurance audits throughout the world,” NHC said in a press release. “Having been involved closely with the development of guidance, products and services which ensure ROV systems can be audited correctly, we are confident that this course gives candidates a thorough, detailed and accurate experience to the highest of standards.”

ROV System Auditing and Assurance course will be launched in Singapore from the 28th – 30th April and regular courses will be scheduled in Singapore, UAE, South Africa and Aberdeen.
