CIMC wins jackup orders

Yantai CIMC Raffles Offshore (CIMC Raffles) has won an order for two jackups from newcomer Central Shipping Monaco (CSM).

The two rigs will be Friede & Goldman JU2000E design and scheduled to be delivered at the end of 2015.

CSM also agreed options to build up to another four similar jackup rigs, with CIMC Raffles.

F&G JU2000E rigs can operate in 400ft water depth, and 35,000ft drilling depths. It can operate in Gulf of Mexico, Middle East, North Sea, and West and East Africa. The rigs will be equipped with BLM jacking system and Aker drilling package.

CSM operates in the shipping industry and is an ambitious newcomer in the oil and gas industry.
