Safety discussion in Aberdeen

The importance of safety in the offshore industry will be the subject of discussion at the next evening meeting and supper hosted by the Energy Institute in Aberdeen.

Guest speaker Steve Bullock, senior vice president HSSEIA Offshore Projects and Operations at Petrofac, has more than 30 years of experience in the oil and gas industry with Marathon Oil and Petrofac. As Petrofac’s representative he was co-chair of the Asset Integrity Steering Group before being appointed co-chair of Step Change in Safety.

His talk will highlight the essential importance of safety in the offshore industry and will cover the role of Step Change in Safety, how it has evolved and the current areas of focus.

He will also use a case study to highlight the importance of managing asset integrity and the key strategic roles of management and workforce looking at leadership, engagement and competence.

The event takes place from 6-8.30pm on Tuesday, January 14, at the Marcliffe Hotel, Aberdeen.
