Intumescent coatings

Coatings manufacturer Hempel has launched a new range of intumescent coatings for passive fire protection of steel structures in cellulosic fires. The range includes two one-component solventborne acrylic coatings: Hempacore One, specified for on-site applications, and the fast-drying Hempacore One FD, specified for off-site applications. According to Hempel, both coatings are capable of providing up to 120 minutes of fire protection in cellulosic fires.
