Stoknes Appointed CFO at Aker

Friday, June 14, 2019

Svein Oskar Stoknes has been appointed Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of Norwegian industrial investment company Aker, effective August 1, 2019.

Stoknes, who has worked at Aker Solutions since 2007 and was named CFO in September 2014, replaces Frank O. Reite, who will step aside for health reasons.

Reite will maintain board memberships in several Aker related companies, including chairman of the Ocean Yield. Reite has held various positions at Aker and Aker-owned companies for close to 20 years.

The oil and gas, marine and maritime focused Aker has ownership interests in Aker BP, Aker Solutions, Akastor, Kvaerner, Ocean Yield, Aker Energy, Aker BioMarine and Cognite.

“Incoming CFO, Svein Oskar, will continue Frank’s work with bringing the CFO role closer to our portfolio companies, where value creation takes place, and risks are managed and handled,” said Øyvind Eriksen, Aker’s President & CEO and Aker Solutions’ Chairman. “It’s a great strength to Aker that we have many highly qualified leaders and key employees to take on important roles in our companies.”

“I am grateful to Frank for his numerous contributions to Aker, and I’m glad that Frank will remain an important member of the Aker team,” Eriksen said.
