SeaBird Bags OBN Project in AsiaPac

SeaBird Exploration, a global provider of 2D, source and shallow water 2D/3D seismic services, has received a letter of award to provide a source vessel for an upcoming ocean bottom node (OBN)  project in the Asia Pacific region.

The project is anticipated to commence during Q4 and will have a duration of one to two months, said the marine acquisition provider.

SeaBird will be using the seismic vessel  Voyager Explorer for the project. M/V Voyager Explorer joined the fleet August 2011. The vessel is designed for shallow water operation world wide.

Last week, SeaBird has received an award to acquire 2D seismic data in the Australasia region.

The survey is due to start during 4Q 2019 and is estimated to run for approximately three to four months plus mobilization.
