Statoil awarded Nordic Maritime a contract for its newest DP2 vessel, Mokul Nordic in the North Sea.
The 30-day contract has an optional 15-day charter.
Mokul Nordicis a DP2 VS470 MKIII subsea service vessel capable of ROV and inspection, maintenance, and repair (IMR) operations. It has a 100-tonne active heave compensated offshore knuckle-boom crane and built-in swell compensation systems per 2000m depth.
Nordic Maritime says the Mokul Nordic is compliant with SPS 2008 code & clean and comfort class notation and can accommodate 60 people. It offers full cargo deck capacity, and logistical support to extend full usage flexibility.
The vessel just completed its inaugural charter with N-Sea Offshore, and will remain in the North Sea to begin the Statoil project.
Nordic Maritime has the Nordic Amprak that is currently under construction and will be delivered in the 2Q 2015.
In June Nordic Maritime completed a contract that was awarded by Cairn India to provide 3D marine seismic data acquisition and processing services off the coast of Andhra Pradesh.
