Wintershall to use Deepsea Stavanger at Maria

Wintershall has received consent from Norway’s Petroleum Safety Authority (PSA) to use the Deepsea Stavanger semisubmersible to drill six production wells on the Maria field.

Wintershall Norge is the operator of the Maria field oil and gas field at Haltenbanken in the Norwegian Sea, around 230km from the Trøndelag coast. Water depth in the area is approximately 300m. The field will be developed using a subsea facility.
