Det norske to appraise Langfjellet

Published

Det norske oljeselskap is to move ahead with an appraisal well on the Langfjellet discovery in the Norwegian North Sea.

The Norwegian Petroleum Directorate has granted the firm a drilling permit for well 25/2-18 A using the Maersk Interceptor drilling rig in production license 442.

Det norske is the operator with an ownership interest of 90%, with LOTOS Exploration and Production Norge holding the remaining 10%.

Production license 442 was awarded in APA 2006, on 15 June 2007. This is the second well to be drilled within the license.

The permit is contingent upon the operator securing all other permits and consents required by other authorities prior to commencing drilling activities.
