Trelleborg, i-Tech Services sign framework agreement

Published

Trelleborg’s applied technologies operation in Rochdale, England, has signed a framework agreement with i-Tech Services, a Subsea 7 company, to deliver buoyancy products for remotely operated vehicles (ROV). This is the first formal framework agreement for the supply of ROV buoyancy, which covers the Centurion HD and QX vehicles.

Trelleborg manufactures a range of syntactic foams used for buoyancy on ROVs and unmanned submersibles. The TG Grade syntactic foam is lightweight and economical for use on manned and remotely operated vehicles.

The framework agreement will cover Trelleborg’s buoyancy packs which are rated for 3000m sea water service depth using TG26/3000 core material with the opportunity to add other TG grades as needed. The low density TG26 material ensures maximum uplift is generated per vehicle and has increased payload capabilities.
