UTF Subsea Award - time to shine

Published

Are you the next Tracerco? Entries have now opened for this year's Underwater Technology Foundation (UTF) Subsea Award 2016, which will be presented at the Underwater Technology Conference in Bergen in June.

The award has been designed to recognize the many outstanding achievements within the subsea industry.

This year, the committee is looking for a person or a group of people that have contributed to knowledge and understanding in subsea technology through new products, services and/or processes.

The objective is to tell everyone with a brilliant idea what it takes to succeed and what it can mean for the wider industry.

Last year, Tracerco won the inaugural award. The firm had developed the Discovery underwater CT scanner, which had that year performed its first commercial trials in deepwater Gulf of Mexico.

The jury recognized Discovery’s innovative technology, the large global potential, the fact the technology is field proven with excellent results and that it contributes to both operators, IMR companies and suppliers.

This year's award jury has been appointed by the UTF board and consists of prominent individuals from valuable UTF partners.

As well as being presented with the award at the UTC conference dinner, the winner's story will be shared by the UTF and UTC as well as through OE, the event's principal media sponsor.

Deadline for entry for this year's award is 18 May. Persons or groups of people can be nominated by themselves or by others. The award will be made on 15 June.
