OTC16: Bosch Rexroth to showcase latest drives solutions

Bosch Rexroth will exhibit its latest marine and offshore technologies at booth 4416 during Offshore Technology Conference (OTC) at NRG Park in Houston, 2-5 May 2016.

Visitors will have the opportunity to learn more about Rexroth’s technologies that help offshore operators deploy applications that combine stability, safety, and efficiency, including active heave compensation, Hägglunds CBM motors, IndraDrive ML large electric drives, and CIMSmart.

Active Heave Compensation

Varying sea conditions can often interfere with offshore productivity. Active heave compensators (AHC) enable smooth operations and steady positioning to keep offshore operations going. Rexroth systems can compensate for roll, pitch, and heave motion caused by waves to maintain steady loads and offering power savings up to 85%.

Hägglunds CBM Motors

Hӓgglunds CBM direct drive hydraulic motors deliver 50% more torque in a compact package that’s half the weight of its predecessor. These motors offer a tighter footprint, maximum torque of 2,000 kNm, and full torque capabilities from zero speed.

IndraDrive ML large electric drives

IndraDrive ML large electric drives are designed to help machine manufacturers reduce costs while increasing productivity. The modular IndraDrive ML family of megawatt-sized inverters can be application-optimized for energy efficiency and is designed for the demands of offshore applications.

CIMSmart

CIMSmart software expands on existing CIMS technology to capture and store information on large hydraulic cylinders (LHC.) LHCs must deliver controlled performance over long lifecycles, while enduring harsh environments, which requires technology that accurately measures the cylinder’s piston rod position. CIMSmart leverages the inherent capabilities of CIMS technology to provide data on operating temperatures, stroke distribution, and total travelled distance. By expanding its range of data, CIMSmart allows original equipment manufacturers the opportunity to offer a more sophisticated level of operational management, application monitoring, and maintenance planning.
