Kongsberg Maritime names new president

Egil Haugsdal has been promoted to president of Kongsberg Maritime, following current president Geir Håøy, who will assume the position of CEO of Kongsberg in June 2016.

Haugsdal holds extensive leadership experience from Kongsberg, and currently heads Kongsberg Oil & Gas Technologies. He has previous experience from Kongsberg as executive vice president of business development and as president of Kongsberg Protech Systems, and has been with the company a total of seven years.

Håøy will take the place of Wlater Qvam, current CEO of Kongsberg, who will retire in June. Qvam announced his retirement last month.
