Prosafe to lay-up Jasmina

Accommodation vessel provider Prosafe is preparing to lay-up its vessel Jasmina, after remained off-hire offshore Mexico.

The unit, built in 1982, at the GVA yard in Sweden to a GVA 2000 design, and with accommodation for 535 people, has been off hire since late February 2015.

Overall, Prosafe's Q4 2015 fleet utilization was 62% in Q4 2015 (92% in Q4 2014). The Safe Concordia and Safe Caledonia were fully contracted in the quarter.

Safe Boreas was on contract in Norway until mid-December. Safe Regalia was on contract in UK until late November.

Safe Bristolia, which was idle in the quarter, is now in a yard in Gdansk, Poland, to undertake a special periodic survey (SPS). The vessel had broken free from a tug during its transport to the yard over late 2015.

Safe Astoria is in Batam, Indonesia, and was undergoing minor works in Q4. Safe Regency, Safe Lancia, Safe Hibernia and Safe Britannia were fully contracted in Mexico throughout the quarter.

The contract for the Safe Hibernia has been extended until end of Q1 2016. Safe Britannia ended its contract at end of December 2015, however the vessel remains in operational readiness mode in anticipation of new assignments.

Mechanical completion and commissioning of Scandinavia tender support vessel has been finalized. During the acceptance testing certain mud specifications showed a need for some adjustments, which are expected to be completed in the near future. Once the testing is complete, the vessel will start mobilizing to the Oseberg East field offshore Norway.

The newbuild Safe Zephyrus is currently scheduled for delivery at the end of January 2016. Safe Zephyrus is scheduled to start a contract in Norway early Q3 2016.
