Cubility has appointed Brandon Buzarde as vice president, international sales.

Buzarde, who will be based in Houston, will be tasked with increasing sales growth for Cubility’s recently commercialized MudCube technology and will lead a worldwide sales team comprising many of the industry's top solids and drilling fluids experts.

Buzarde comes to Cubility having spent the last four years at National Oilwell Varco (NOV) where he held a variety of roles including most recently global account vice president.

In addition, as part of a restructuring of Cubility senior management, Tore Grelland - previously vice president of sales and marketing - will take on a new role as vice president, business development and operations, where he will manage day-to-day operations and identify future customers and partners. Other changes include Arne Thomas Haaland, formerly chief operating officer, who will become vice president of technologies where he will manage Cubility’s technology and research and development strategy; and Knut Haga who will move from chief technology officer to vice president of projects.

The MudCube is an enclosed solids control system that eliminates the traditional process of shaking fluid and solids. Rather than relying on high G-forces to separate mud and the drilled solids as is the case with shale shakers, with the MudCube drilling fluids are vacuumed through a rotating filter belt using high airflow to separate the cuttings from the fluid more effectively.

“To date, we have seen the MudCube adopted in the North Sea, Far East, North and South America and the Middle East and only just recently on the Johan Sverdrup field and Scarabeo 5 platform in the Norwegian Continental Shelf,” said Buzarde.
