Lundin to drill Neiden

The Norwegian Petroleum Directorate has granted Lundin Norway a drilling permit for well 7220/6-2, in the Neiden prospect, which contains 200 MMboe gross prospective resources. 

The drilling program for well 7220/6-2 relates to the drilling of a wildcat well in production license 609. This will be the fifth exploration well in production license 609, and will be drilled by the Island Innovator drilling facility.

The production license, awarded in the 21st licensing round in 2011, consists of the blocks/part of blocks 7220/6, 7220/9, 7220/11, 7220/12 and 7221/4. 

Lundin Norway is the operator with a 40% ownership interest, and the licensees are Idemitsu Petroleum Norge and RWE Dea Norge, both with 30% interest.
