Edison Norge spuds Haribo

Edison Norge spudded its first well as operator in the Norwegian Continental Shelf on the Haribo prospect. Exploration drilling started 21 June 2015 in the production license PL616 in the southern portion of the Norwegian North Sea at 8km southwest of the Valhall Field.

Well 2/11-11 will be drilled by the semisubmersible, Transocean Searcher, to a vertical depth of 3350m below the seabed in the Hidra formation for an expected period of 45 days in the dry hole case. The predicted reservoir is chalk of Upper Cretaceous age similar to the Valhall reservoir.

The partners in PL616 are Edison Norge AS (operator, with 25% interest), Noreco (20%), Concedo (20%), Lime Petroleum Norway (5%), North Energy (15%) and Skagen44 (15%).
