The US$18.5 billion Santos GLNG project is approaching its 95% complete mark and is expected to produce first LNG around the end of 3Q 2015.

Previous guidance for first LNG was in 2H 2015.
“The project has continued to go from strength to strength and we have made significant progress on the ground in both 2014 and in the first quarter of this year,” David Knox Santos managing director and CEO said. “The delivery of GLNG will consolidate our strategic LNG portfolio and further position us as a key player in the growing Asian gas market.”
Recent milestones include the introduction of first gas into the LNG plant and the successful firing of the first two gas turbine generators.

Santos GLNG is a joint venture between Santos (30%), Petronas (27.5%), Total (27.5%) and Kogas (15%).
