Danish engineering house Ramboll Oil & Gas is to perform detailed design work for the two jackets for Maersk Oil's ultra-high-pressure, high-temperature (HPHT) UK North Sea Culzean field.
The jackets are for a central processing facility platform and a separate utilities and living quarter platform. The contract follows Ramboll completion of the Culzean wellhead jacket detailed design late 2014.

The Culzean HPHT field is about 242km (145mi east of Aberdeen and is expected to potentially deliver up to 5% of the UK's gas consumption by 2020/21. The new facilities will also serve as a hub for a new development cluster in the surrounding area.
Ramboll's work scope comprises the detailed design of the jackets for the central processing facility platform and the utilities and living quarter platform and associated piles for water depth of 90m (296ft). These jackets will be the largest substructures designed by Ramboll for the North Sea.
Ramboll entered the UK oil and gas market mid 2014 with the acquisition of Aberdeen-based engineering company Apply Altra, following Ramboll's ambitious strategy towards growth and internationalisation.
