AMTI appoints two team members

Houston-based Alloy Metals and Tubes International (AMTI) announced that Steve Martinez has joined the company as warehouse operator, and Denna Gatewood has been promoted to Director of Quality Assurance.

In this capacity Martinez will be responsible for creating an ergonomic intervention plan for the movement of tubular products in all AMTI warehouses. He is using his analytical skills to create an environment where tubular goods can be moved and stored efficiently while simultaneously improving our safety record.  

Martinez comes to AMTI from CRI packaging where he was production planner.  Prior to that he worked at Neopal, LLC as quality inspector.

In her new position Gatewood will be responsible for establishing a corporate quality assurance system that promotes ISO 9001:2008 compliance, as well as implementing industry recognized best practices and establishing an effective quality management system.

Gatewood began her career with AMTI in 2004 as an inside sales representative before being named general manager in 2007.  Prior to that time she was a consultant to small businesses.  She also worked for Scurlock Oil as a senior systems analyst and at The Pennzoil Company as a systems analyst.  She holds a BBA from Baylor University where she majored in Information Systems and Business statistics.
