SPE Russian Oil & Gas conference hits record attendance

The fifth SPE Russian Oil & Gas Exploration and Production Technical Conference and Exhibition at the All-Russian Exhibition Center in Moscow hit a record attendance on its first day with 1,775 unique attendees, marking a 19% increase on the previous event in 2012.

The Opening Plenary Session covered a range of innovative technologies for field development, with speakers from Gazprom Neft, NOVOTEK, TyumenNIIgiprogas, TNNC and Lukoil-Engineering.

2014 SPE Regional Award winners were announced, with 14 individual winners named, along with Lukoil receiving the Regional Distinguished Corporate Support Award.

Alongside the conference, 14 technical papers were presented as part of the Knowledge Sharing ePoster Program. The Topical Lunch topic focused on microsesimic monitoring of multistage-hydraulic fracturing. Also of keen interest was the dedicated round table on HSE.

A total of 80 exhibitors and sponsors are participating in the event. Exhibitors include Gazprom Neft JSC, JSC Tatneft, Baker Hughes, Schlumberger, Halliburton and Roxar.
