Euronav receives first 8 VLCCs from Maersk Singapore

VLCC trrade lines, from EuronavOn 5 January 2014, Euronav NV announced it would acquire 15 very large crude carriers (VLCC) from Maersk Tankers Singapore Pte Ltd.

Today, Euronav said that eight of the VLCCs have been delivered in the first half of 2014.

Deliveries of the remaining VLCCs from the acquired Maersk fleet will increase the company’s fleet by another 7 VLCCs. Those deliveries are scheduled to take place in the month of July, save for one vessel (Maersk Sandra) which shall be delivered no later than 30 March 2015.

Deliveries of the remaining Maersk Tanker VLCCs will increase Euronav’s tanker fleet by another 7 VLCCs.
