Lutz Wittenberg (pictured) has been appointed the new group chief technology officer at DNV GL.
In his new role, Wittenberg will be responsible for group-wide technology developments and report directly to Group CEO Henrik Madsen. In addition, he has become a member of the DNV GL executive committee.
“At DNV GL we have a very strong focus on research, and spend 5% of our revenue on innovation, joint industry projects and developing the world’s most recognized standards. This becomes even more vital as we strive to address the complex challenges faced by our customers and the industries we serve. I’m confident that Lutz will advance our work in this strategically important field,” Madsen said.
Wittenberg has significant industry and management experience at legacy GL, and comes from the role of director of technology, services and R&D for DNV GL -Oil & Gas. He is succeeding Elisabeth Tørstad, who was appointed CEO of DNV GL – Oil & Gas.
