PD&MS secures BP Caspian contract

PD&MS Energy has secured a three year contract to provide platform engineering services and upgrades for BP-operated projects in the Azerbaijan-Georgia-Turkey region (AGT).

The Aberdeen-based firm has options to extend the contract by an additional five years.

The contract covers BP-operated facilities in the Caspian Sea and will be the company’s largest overseas contract to date.

PD&MS Energy has opened an office in Baku, Azerbaijan, creating 25 jobs locally with additional positions being created in Aberdeen to support the Azerbaijan based project delivery team.

The agreement follows the recent announcement of a contract with BP Norway, and a substantial contract win for engineering work on BP UK’s entire North Sea platform drilling assets.

PD&MS Energy recorded turnover of £47 million for its year-end in June 2013 – a rise of 47% on its 2011 figure. The business is also looking to secure office space to house up to 400 personnel as part of its continued growth plans.
