OAA finalists announced

The 2014, 28th Offshore Achievement Awards are due to be presented in Aberdeen in March, with a crop of talented individuals and companies shortlisted.

The awards, organized and hosted by the Society of Petroleum Engineers Aberdeen Section, and supported by Offshore Engineer, celebrate safety innovations, technology breakthroughs, company successes and more, both through individual achievements, and collaborative working.

Ian Phillips, director of energy business consultancy Pale Blue Dot Energy Ltd. and the SPE Aberdeen board member responsible for organizing the OAAs, said: “This year’s judges were extremely impressed by the talent that the UK industry has to offer.”

The finalists for the 2014 Offshore Achievement Awards are:

  • Export Achievement: EnerMech and Tendeka
  • Safety Innovations: AMEC,Stork Technical Services - ERBAS, and Viper Subsea
  • Emerging Technology: Aubin Group, Guardian Global Technologies, and Ocean Power Technologies
  • The Innovator: Paradigm Flow Services, Tendeka, and Viper Subsea
  • Great Small Company: Accord Energy Solutions, Coretrax Technology, and Viper Subsea
  • Great Large Company: DOF Subsea, Hydrasun, and Wood Group
  • Working Together: Alba Power/ Petrologistics, Britannia Operator, and The Underwater Centre
  • Young Professional: Liam O’Neil, AMEC, Duncan Chedburn, Maersk Oil, and Raymond MacKenzie, Nexen Petroleum UK
  • Inspiring Leader: Doug Duguid, EnerMech, Steve Nicol, Halliburton, and Trevor Jee, Jee
  • Environmentalist: Cape Environmental Services Offshore, Stork Technical Services, and TWMA

An award for Significant Achievement will be announced on the evening.
