Senergy Software released its latest generation, multi-discipline, well data analysis and interpretation tool, IPTM.
The powerful IPTM version 4.2, which has been further developed and enhanced by Senergy Software’s team of technical experts, is being showcased at the SPE Annual Technical Conference and Exhibition (ATCE) 2013, taking place from 30 September to 2 October in New Orleans.
IPTM enables users to maximize the value of wellbore data, with quick and confident multi-zone, multi-well analysis, whether the user is a beginner or a seasoned expert, with a well thought out graphical interface which enhances efficiency and productivity.
Significant new functionality includes the release of a cement evaluation module, the first commercially available such product, along with a production log analysis module, both of which can be purchased as standalone products.
Thecement evaluation module assesses cement bond log data, from all service providers and all types of tool, for the criteria needed to provide annular hydraulic isolation. Using an intuitive workflow design, the workflow enables the user to reach an independent and clear conclusion of the cement quality, reducing operational risk.
Production log analysis allows users to monitor well production performance from raw production logging data by calculating the contribution of each fluid type (gas/water/oil) at each reservoir depth. The process enables users to identify key areas where issues exist, to take appropriate actions to improve productivity, and also empowers users to take ownership of their data.
Also released is the unconventional resources toolbox, which includes PVT computations for reporting hydrocarbons at surface conditions with output formats available for direct import into common reservoir simulators, and SOM (Self Organising Maps) which complements the existing cluster analysis in a new rock typing module.
Numerous enhancements to the existing functionality have been included in IP 4.2: text curves that can be fully utilised as curves, functions and discriminators; picks that can be zones boundaries, which further enhance the multi-well workflows; improved lithology shading; porosity and water saturation modules include options for a variable Sxo, and a Vshale workflow; histograms can be shown on cross-plot axes; the Saturation Height module includes an interactive closure correction cross-plot, and a 3D function plot; and the Image Analysis has had many usability improvements.
Derek Crombie, Technical & Product Development Manager at Senergy, said: “Our IP software suite has been designed by technical experts and this has enabled us to provide a product which is setting the standard within the industry. Through continually listening to our customers and investing in the ongoing development of IP, we have been able to combine domain expertise and innovation into a package which meets the need of those in working across the oil and gas sector.”
To highlight the innovations included in IP v 4.2 Senergy Software will be providing demonstrations at its stand (#535) during ATCE.
