Nor-Ocean opens Houston office

Oslo-based offshore shipbroking and consultancy company Nor-Ocean Offshore has opened a new office in Houston.

The new office offers brokerage and advisory services globally in relation to newbuilding, sale and purchase, chartering projects for offshore drilling rigs (jack-up, semi-submersible and drillship) and specialized vessels. The Houston office Partners are Erik B. Alsaker and Espen S. Johansen.

“A permanent presence in Houston is strategically important to better serve our global clients, many of whom are headquartered in the US,” said Paal Nordgreen, Managing Partner at Nor-Ocean Offshore.

Nor-Ocean Offshore offers assistance with procurement and chartering as well as project management and financing for most types of equipment to the offshore industry such as offshore support vessels, subsea vessels including diving and ROV vessels, drilling and production platforms as well as construction and accommodation units.

In addition to the principal office in Oslo, Nor-Ocean has an office in Rio de Janeiro. In 2012, investment bank Arctic Securities ASA became a major shareholder in Nor-Ocean Offshore.
