SeaBird vessel updates

SeaBird Exploration PLC was awarded a US $16 million contract for its 2D Osprey Explorer vessel in the South America region. The client has not been named.

In addition, the Hawk Explorer has moved to Uruguay and started a 4000 km survey for Spectrum. The survey will be covered under the current framework agreement, and is being carried out partly in open, ultradeepwater acreage to provide seismic data for bidders in Uruguay’s third licensing round expected to be held in 2015.

Also, SeaBird’s Harrier Explorer will begin the Snospurv high-resolution 2D survey in the Barents Sea off Norway within the next few days. Phase 1 of the project is 6000 km.

SeaBird is a global provider of marine acquisition for 2D/3D and 4D seismic data, and associated products and services to the oil and gas industry. SeaBird specializes in operations within the high-end of the source vessel and 2D market, as well as in the shallow/deep water 2D/3D and 4D market. Main focus for the company is proprietary seismic surveys.
