AMEC, the international engineering and project management company, has been selected as a strategic partner by AWE to provide implementation services at Aldermaston in Berkshire.

The four-year contract, the value of which has not been announced, will see AMEC develop the services it already provides to AWE as a long-term partner. The contract will be executed from AMEC’s offices in Thatcham, Berkshire.

Dr Malcolm White, Director of AMEC’s Europe defence business, said: "This contract is an important win for AMEC as it provides an even wider variety of essential services for AWE and supports new ways of collaborative working by a highly valued customer.

"AMEC has been supporting the work of AWE for over twenty years as a design house and as a supplier of implementation services.

"This new contract will allow us to carry out a broader scope of work and allow us to provide an even better service to AWE."
