Allan Joins Marine Technical Limits

Floating production, storage and offloading unit (FPSO) and marine integrity management specialists Marine Technical Limits (MTL) said on Tuesday it has welcomed a senior naval architect to its team.

Paul Allan, who has more than 10-years’ experience in delivering naval architecture and marine warranty surveying (MWS) to the oil and gas industry, has been appointed to the position of Senior Naval Architect by the Kintore-based firm.

The chartered engineer will support the MTL team developing systems and procedures, driving MWS and supporting the company’s global FPSO and marine activities.

MTL, which employs 44 people, is a specialist FPSO integrity and repair management company, providing structural integrity management, on-station FPSO repair, naval architectural and equipment solutions. MTL’s unique approach to delivering safety, value and quality is founded upon a deep understanding of the specific needs of FPSO operators and the motivation to find the best solution for their clients.

The company said it has recently signed an agreement to expand its services in Brazil, has worked throughout the globe in Canada, Africa, United Kingdom Continental Shelf (UKCS), Europe and Asia Pacific.
