Energy consultancy Xodus Group has appointed a new field development director for Asia-Pacific (APAC) as the company targets strategic growth and new projects in the region.

David Kennare joins Xodus from Peritus Group where he was managing director for the company’s operations in Houston, London, Kuala Lumpur and Perth. With more than 30 years' in the oil and gas industry, Kennare’s consulting experience includes facilities development from technical feasibility reviews through FEED, detailed engineering, construction, commissioning and operation of oil and gas processes both onshore and offshore. A Fellow of IChemE, Kennare also has specialized experience in planning and execution of assess and select phase work for oil and gas development opportunities.

Earlier this year, Xodus Group announced it had grown its team in Perth by almost 50% after a batch of new contract wins in the APAC region. The strong start to the year has led to the creation of new jobs with the company expecting several more additions by the end of the year.

Simon Allison, Xodus’ operations director for the APAC region, said, “David brings vast management experience which will be of value in our strategy development and business planning as well as recent experience in subsea compression which we see as an evolving area for the industry.”

“We are seeing a significant rise in the number of new developments in the region and following the appointment of David, we now have the ideal person to lead our growing field development team.”
