DeepOcean Extends with Solstad CSV

Offshore installation contractor DeepOcean has decided to extend the contract for Solstad Offshore's construction support vessel (CSV) Normand Jarstein.

Solstad Offshore, the Norwegian offshore service and supply ship shipping company, said that the extension is for a minimum period of 200 days in 2020, with start scheduled during the first quarter.

DeepOcean also has an option to extend the contract for a further year, it said.

DeepOcean is using the vessel on renewable energy and oil & gas projects.

The Normand Jarstein was earlier this year used to help Aker BP with the hook-up of Valhall Flank West platform.

Solstad Offshore operates 50 vessels and two newbuilding CSV, including 19 construction service vessels, 22 anchor handling tug supply vessels and 9 platform supply vessels.
